Mercurius is
a generic OSS – Network integration platform, dedicated to mediation of
service management tasks. It can be perfectly used for mediation of:
- network inventory audit
(autodiscovery)
- subscriber and service
provisioning actions in PSTN or NGN network
- NGN gateway management tasks
- routing provisioning tasks
in PSTN or NGN network
- trunk group management tasks
- signaling configuration
tasks
Mercurius
acts as mediation server, which receives the service orders from the
OSS systems and translates them into actions, understood by network
elements. After actions are performed, the system sends the result back
to the OSS. The north bound APIs can be delivered in technologies such
as SOAP/XML, FTP/SFTP files or Java APIs and others. For communication
with network elements, the system can use proprietary interfaces (MML
commands) or common technologies as CORBA, SOAP, etc. Communication
with networks can be based on direct communication with network
elements or through Interfaces provided by Element Management systems.
The system has been designed
around the following principles:
- Flexible and user friendly
design process of mediation and integration functions,
- Support of very complex
provisioning flows,
- Runtime flexibility and
configurability,
- Extensibility,
- Scalability reaching
millions of actions per day.
Modular architecture exploiting
the most advanced IT technologies ensures:
- Easy adaptation to changing
requirements,
- High security profile,
- Fully transactional
environment,
- Horizontal and vertical
scalability,
- Server redundancy.
The system has been designed on
the base of our integration experience done for many operators
world-wide such as Telstra (Australia), Slovak Telecom, Telemar
(Brazil) or CNC Beijing (China).
Mercurius
contains several applications that enables easy and fast integration
flow design, as well as runtime system monitoring and problem tracking.
